Alert: Kansas Committees Pushing Keystone Resolutions.

Now is the time for ACTION!! We can at least defeat the Kansas House Committee Resolution and show that Kansas does NOT believe the Keystone XL should be approved!

We are collaborating with for our state effort, so please sign and make comments on this petition (add link to “petition” direct it to: .)  Your comments will go to the entire Senate Utilities Committee that is hearing HCR5014 this week on Thursday!

You can also send your testimony to the Senators of the committee or go and read it to them on Thursday at 1:30 pm If you want to submit testimony send it to and he will get it to them. We need a lot of people there supporting the speakers so please try to go whether you want to speak or not!

To read the resolution go to:

And, don’t forget to send you comments into President Obama below!;jsessionid=E3F2C243AF854F6C96897B32BA39E0BC.app207a?pagename=homepage&page=UserAction&id=12467&autologin=true&s_src=214ABOAN04

The hearing for HR 6043 is now set for Thursday, February 13th at 9:00 am in room 582-N. This Resolution says that the entire state of Kansas is against any regulations on greenhouse gases and Kansas opposes the President’s Climate Action Plan. You and I know that Kansans WANT these regulations!

HCR5014 is also coming before the Senate Utilities committee that same day in room 548-S. It will be at 1:30 pm. This is urging President Obama to sign off on the Keystone XL Pipeline.

If you would like to speak, please get your testimony to Sierra Club’s Zack Pistora, . Do this by tonight so Zack can get it ready to print in the morning. The more testimony we can get to the committee before that time the greater chance we have of stopping this resolution. Even if you cannot go to the Capitol on the 13th your testimony will still be given to the committees to read and will have an impact.

Be sure to share this petition with everyone you know asap! I will be printing it to bring to Topeka so I need signatures by Wednesday, tomorrow, at noon. Sign and share NOW! Any comments on this petition will be emailed to the Senate Utilities Committee immediately.
